NanoDrop Technologies Inc. has upgraded the software for its ND-1000 UV/VIS spectrophotometer to facilitate measurement of 1-µl samples. Version 3.2 has added a data management tool that is already in use in the company’s ND-3300 fluorospectrometer. With the viewer, the user can overlay current and archived spectra, plot data from archived files, choose the fields to be displayed, correct sample names and save reports. The instruments allow 1-µl samples to be pipetted directly onto the fiber optic measurement surface, without a cuvette. Their small sample volume, broad spectral output and small footprint make the instruments convenient for research applications.
