MTI_Instruments.jpgMTI Instruments Inc. has expanded its Microtrak II laser triangulation product line with the introduction of a stand-alone laser (SAL) system. The SAL system uses laser triangulation technology to measure the thickness of glass, wood or paper in industrial processing plants, and the vibration of fan belts and out-of-round conditions for automobile tires. In the construction business, it can measure the dimensional accuracy of cement blocks, pavers and containers. The system is supplied with the proprietary Remote Control software package and an RS-485 interface. Maximum frequency response is 20 kHz, sampling frequency is 40 kHz, and operating wavelength is 670 nm.
