BERLIN Sept. 5, 2014 — PicoQuant has released the stimulated emission depletion (STED) add-on for their time-resolved confocal microscope, the MicroTime 200.

The add-on extends the fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) capabilities of the MicroTime by allowing higher fluorophore concentrations, helps to disentangle complex 2-D diffusion scenarios in heterogeneous samples and allows measurements of light that reach lateral resolutions below 50 nm.

The MicroTime 200 enables the user to perform fluorescence lifetime, fluorescence correlation and imaging measurements. It can be combined with other devices, allowing for multidimensional data acquisition.
