The STS-UV microspectrometer from Ocean Optics Inc. is suitable for integration into spectroscopy instrumentation, medical devices, process monitoring and other applications.

The device measures 40 × 42 × 24 mm and is optimized for applications in the UV (190 to 650 nm), including absorbance measurements, point-of-care diagnostics, emission spectroscopy and laser characterization. Its high signal-to-noise ratio and wide dynamic range make it suitable for measurements such as determining the absorbance from dilute solutions.

Featuring a 1024-element detector in a crossed Czerny-Turner optical bench, the device’s optical design and advanced CMOS detector enable improved linearity, absorbance repeatability and wavelength accuracy, even in large production quantities.
