ANDOVER, Mass., May 17, 2023 — SWIR LensThe Ophir® SWIR and NIR 25-250 mm f/5.5 (NFOV) f/4.0 wide-field-of-view continuous zoom lens from MKS Instruments Inc. is a compact, rugged device for 5- and 10-µm SXGA and 15-µm VGA SWIR detectors.

Its opto-mechanical design delivers an 860-g lens with a length of 224 mm while enabling a high-quality image with a detection range exceeding 26 km. In addition, the lens features a unique coating to withstand harsh environments. The device enables advanced drones, coastal search and rescue, tactical unmanned aerial vehicle IR cameras, and micro/mini tactical payloads in the commercial, homeland security, and defense markets.
