Aicon 3D Systems GmbH has announced the Optocat scan software to facilitate 3D measuring processes.

The single captures of the scan process can be aligned automatically without the help of photogrammetric index markers. Optocat uses intelligent algorithms to evaluate the geometric and radiometric features of the scanned object. Manual processing is not required.

Back projection results in full color onto the measuring object, resulting in the visualization of CAD deviations. Aicon's stereoSCAN neo, a combination of high-resolution sensor technology and a digital projection unit, is integrated into the Optocat software.
