CarlZeiss.jpgConfigured for multiphoton microscopy, the LSM 5 MP system from Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH is a laser scanning microscope suitable for examining living biological tissue. The system has highly efficient coatings on the optics for minimal power loss of the femtosecond lasers, and filter technology that guarantees efficient suppression of the exciting light with simultaneous sensitive detection. It has a W Plan-Apochromat objective lens with 20× magnification, a numerical aperture of 1.0 and a working distance of 2 mm. The lens features optical correction in the near-IR spectral range and allows imaging of larger areas of the specimen with high resolution and efficient light collecting.
