HYERES, France, Oct. 28, 2014 — Light Tec has announced two new instruments for scattering measurement.

The Bench Reflet is a precision 3-D (hemispheric) bidirectional scattering distribution function (BSDF) measurement tool covering a spectrum from 400 to 1700 nm with a dynamic range of 109.

It has an incident angle source adjustable from +90° to -90° with an angular accuracy <0.5° and repeatability of >1%.

The instrument is delivered with a dark box, and data can be exported to optical design or other illumination software.

The Mini-Diff enables reflectance and transmittance (BRDF/BTDF) measurement with a dynamic range of up to 104.

The device takes measurements in three minutes or less using four collimated LED sources at fixed angles of incidence (0°, 20°, 40° and 60°).

The instrument provides a standard red light color (622 nm), with UV to near-infrared options available.
