The Scratch Inspector from EVT Eye Vision Technology GmbH detects defects on surfaces with machine learning technology.
The integrated system features camera hardware, a processor, and illumination all in one package. It can be positioned directly over the inspection location and all adjustments for camera, lens and illumination are included in the system. Only one image is required to detect a defect, avoiding a stillness requirement without elaborate illumination. A simple diffuse light is sufficient to detect scratches on the surface. The Scratch Inspector is available in three different illumination variations and can be easily adapted to the different sizes of the component parts.
Eight inputs and eight outputs in 24-V technology allow direct control of a plant or communication with the programmable logic controller. The system is also equipped with a Profinet option. The system can be run standalone or as a headless sensor, which can be remotely programmed as an optical inspection processor and integrated into the plant.
