OTTOWA, Canada, Aug. 9, 2019 — Security SensorFRAMOS Technologies Inc. has announced the Sony STARVIS Sensor IMX415, an image sensor for compact security applications.

The IMX415 combines STARVIS technology for visibility in low-light surveillance with Prior Low Noise Circuit technology for a better signal-to-noise ratio. It is a Type 1/2.8 CMOS sensor that reaches a resolution of 8 MP with 1.45-µm pixel and a high-speed frame rate of 90 fps at 10 bit. High sensitivity, low dark current, and no smear are achieved through the adoption of R, G, and B primary color mosaic filters. Multiple HDR filter further increase the image quality.

The sensor is designed for challenging environments in industrial and factory automation.
