IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 15, 2014 — The A-Line series of self-aligning lens mounts by Newport Corp. can be used for building optical assemblies, prototyping and small-batch production.

They feature a thin-edge design and threaded post mounting, and can be attached to a guide rod for added stability. The mounts hold standard spherical lenses with diameters from 0.5 in to 3 in, as well as 1-in. and 30-mm diameter lenses. Also available are adaptors for mounting microscope objectives, C-mount camera lenses and 1-in. mirrors.
