SLINFOLD, England, Sept. 6, 2016 — Servo DrivesHeason Technology Ltd. has announced the Gold Bee series of servo drives for extreme environments from Elmo Motion Control Inc.

The ultra-small PCB mount package, measuring 35 × 30 × 14.4 mm, can deliver up to 4000 W of power with current ratings to 50 amps at 100 V direct current. The drive includes a choice of EtherCAT or CANopen networking, safe torque off and multiple feedback options. Nominal supply voltage through the range is 85 or 170 V direct current with continuous current to 30 amps and peak current at 2× continuous ratings for standard versions. "No peak current" versions are also available with continuous current up to 50 amps.

The drive features dual feedback inputs with provision for absolute serial encoders, incremental encoders, digital and analogue halls as well as resolvers — making the choice of feedback very flexible to suit a wide range of servo motor technologies. Servo loop sampling times are as fast as 50 microseconds for current, velocity and position.
