With minimal post-processing, the Sigma Femtosecond Laser Tube cutting system from Miyachi America uses a cold ablation process to cut both metal and plastic.

Based on an ultra-short pulse disc laser platform, the system’s ultra-fast lasers process a wide range of materials without thermal effects. A cold ablation process allows fine feature sizes to be cut into thin material while maintaining integrity.

The precision-cutting Sigma platform and Delta Motion control software provide high-resolution cutting for diameter tubes and stents in the medical device industry.
