Silicon Photodiode ChipsThe VTH21 series of photodiodes from Excelitas Technologies Corp. are low-capacitance silicon photodiode chips for radon gas detection.

Featuring a robust chip design in either a waffle pack or Mylar, the photodiodes are available in two different standard chip geometries including 5×5-mm and 10×10-mm large active area for maximum detection of low-level radiation with a spectral response between 400 to 1100 nm. Supplied as bare dies to maximize signal levels, its flexible geometry design can be tailored to specific needs, providing maximum signal in system applications for alpha particle detection.
