BUFFALO GROVE, Ill., June 7, 2012 — Epix Inc.’s Silicon Video 2KS stereo camera provides two 2048 × 1088-global-shutter, monochrome or color, 5.5-μm-pitch sensors on 1-in. centers. Its aluminum case measures 2.125 × 1.8 × 1.3 in. and weighs 2 oz. The camera is available with up to 100 m of optical cable for high-speed remote imaging.

It captures 10-bit images at 340 fps. Global shutter provides triggered exposures from 65 μs to >100 s, and image capture can be performed at 8, 10 or 12 bits per pixel. Dark level and analog gain adjustments provide flexibility in image exposure adjustment.

The ?-in. optical format camera produces dark noise of 13 e rms. Operating temperature is from −30 to 70 °C.
