Newport Corp. has announced FemtoOptics femtosecond optimized silver mirrors, available flat or concave with a radius of curvature ranging from 100 to 3000 mm.

The 1-in. mirrors have been optimized for the 0 to 45° angle of incidence steering of ultrafast laser beams, providing R>99 percent from 600 to 1100 nm or R>97 percent from 470 to 1000 nm. A proprietary coating design provides near zero group velocity dispersion across the full specified wavelength range.

The devices ensure that ultrafast pulses maintain peak power and do not suffer from the broadening effects associated with standard mirrors.
