BESANCON, France, Feb. 15, 2013 — Aurea Technology has launched the LynXéa stand-alone time-correlated single-photon-counting (TCSPC) module for lifetime and time-resolved measurements of any low-level-of-light and fast events in the near infrared.
By combining the low-level-of-light SPD_A_M2 single-photon counter and the TCSPC technique, the LynXéa provides fast, accurate and sensitive lifetime and time-resolved measurements ranging from 0 to 250 ns at up to 0.4 million counts per second, with a time resolution of 90 ps.
Integrated in the same box are two independent and identical high-photon-detection-efficiency Geiger-mode InGaAs avalanche photodiodes with a time-to-digital converter. External computer plug-in counting cards are not required.
In addition to its ergonomic front panel display, the module provides plug-and-play PC connection via its high-speed USB 2.0 interface. It is controlled by its graphical user interface software, which enables setup and adjustment of measurement parameters, and display and saving of measurement curves, histograms and data.
