BESANCON, France, Dec. 4, 2014 — Aurea Technology SPD_NIR_OEM_120MHzAurea Technology has announced a new near-infrared single-photon-counting OEM module for analytical and quantum technologies applications.

The SPD_NIR_OEM_120MHz detects wavelengths from 900 to 1700 nm. It features a Geiger-mode InGaAs single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) and newly enhanced embedded electronics.

The device provides gated-mode operation up to 120 MHz trigger rate with timing resolution of <150 ps. It performs very-low-noise DCR <5.000 counts per second and touts high photon-detection efficiency up to 30 percent.
