The SRS-004-006/004-003-01-XY low-profile XY single-rail positioning stage from H2W Technologies Inc. uses brushless, linear motors to generate a continuous/peak force of 6.2 lbs.
The top axis is able to directly mount to the moving bottom axis motor, helping to reduce the overall height and moving mass of the system. A low-profile system able to make quick moves in both the X and Y axes is helpful for automated assembly applications. The brushless linear motor was selected for both its ability to achieve high speeds as well as fit into a tight envelope. The optional breadboard provides users with the mounting flexibility to integrate a number of different tools into the same positioning stage.
The noncontact, 1-μm resolution encoder allows for precise positioning and the rigid, recirculating ball linear bearing provides smooth guidance and travel.
