Integrated Endoscopy Inc. has announced the nuvis single-use arthroscope, the first FDA-approved single-use rigid endoscope commercially available in the U.S.
The device protects patients and staff from health care-associated infections due to inadequately reprocessed endoscopes. It also eliminates the need for reprocessing and the inventory logistics associated with reusable arthroscopes. HD optics are provided while eliminating fiber optic bundles and xenon bulbs.
The nuvis features advanced, high-tech lenses made with low-temperature glass and LED technology that provides white light.
