Toptica.jpgThe XTL single-mode diode laser module from Toptica Photonics AG has applications in flow cytometry, display technology, photodynamic therapy, and high-content and high-throughput screening. It offers 250 mW of power at 650 nm and 150 mW from single-mode fiber; a TEM00 beam, M2 <1.5; power stability (drift maximum; 0.5% over 8 h); and high fiber coupling efficiency (60%) into optical fibers. It features a laser head that measures 330 × 122 × 105 mm and active thermal stabilization of the laser chip. Extensive water cooling is not required. An RS-232 interface enables remote control of the module. Laser parameters can be set and read out. Previously, laser sources in the red spectrum consisted of either moderate-power systems that offered convenience or higher-power systems with certain drawbacks.
