PriorScientific.jpgThe Revolution slide loader automates the digital imaging of microscopic specimens using a precision scanning stage and automated loading and unloading of samples. Available from Prior Scientific Inc., it has the capacity to house 200 glass slides in four racks of 50 each, with a loading speed of <24 s. The racks can be swapped while the unit is running and being scanned for slides present. The slides can be bar-code-read prior to loading for random access. The bar codes also can be read during the loading cycle, with optionally available one- or two-dimensional readers. The loader is compatible with proprietary motorized stages for upright and inverted microscopes.
