FITCHBURG, Mass., July 25, 2013 — Headwall Photonics is offering small-form-factor aberration-corrected holographic diffraction gratings for various OEM applications, including color management, pathogen detection, semiconductor fabrication, process monitoring and remote sensing. The gratings’ temperature insensitivity makes them suitable for both ground- and space-based uses.
Suitable for the UV to IR spectral range, the gratings can routinely survive temperatures higher than 80 °C, or up to 150 °C upon request. They offer high signal-to-noise ratio, high spatial and spectral resolution, low stray light, and optical designs that can be fiber-matched and self-referencing, if needed.
Unlike those produced using replication techniques, the company says, these original gratings are guaranteed to meet groove profile and density specifications from prototype to production. Their aberration correction eliminates unwanted optical effects such as keystone and smile.
