Vision Components GmbH has extended its line of compact image processing systems to include the VC6210 nano smart camera. Based on a board that is populated on both sides, the unit is equipped with 8 MB Flash and 128 MB DRAM, providing more memory space than the company’s previous camera models. It measures 80 x 45 x 20 mm, making it suitable for applications with limited installation space. It independently executes all image processing tasks without an external PC and features an Ethernet interface. An RS-232 interface is available as an option. Images are recorded by a global shutter CMOS sensor to provide clear, high-resolution pictures in extremely fast applications.
