With the compact Smart Ethernet Adapter, designed with a specialized high-performance internal microprocessor, Analytical Spectral Devices (ASD) has introduced a whole new set of capabilities for current FieldSpec Pro, LabSpec Pro, and QualitySpec Pro parallel port system users. The addition of the Smart Ethernet Adapter easily enables RJ45/Ethernet connectivity, thereby freeing the user to upgrade instrument controllers without the hassle of parallel port issues. As an added bonus, the RJ45/Ethernet connectivity achieved by the Smart Ethernet Adapter provides the necessary platform to upgrade to the latest software releases from ASD for the FieldSpec, LabSpec, and QualitySpec Pro level systems. This includes the ASD TCP Software Developer’s Kit, for autonomous control of spectrometer systems, and seamless compatibility with LabVIEW systems and C. The Ethernet adapter kit includes all instructions and cabling required to retrofit the existing Pro line FieldSpec, LabSpec, and QualitySpec systems to Ethernet connectivity, and the current software release (RS3 or Indico Pro, depending upon application). Also included are the accessory power port and a belt clip for streamlined, and unencumbered use.
