Vision Engineering Ltd. has introduced two software options for
its Mantis Elite-Cam, a stereomicroscope with instant digital image capture. The
instrument comprises a factory-integrated and -sealed USB 2.0 digital camera, enabling
simultaneous optical and digital viewing. Both software options, ViFox and ViAxos,
allow images to be stored as jpg, bmp or png files and provide 2-D measurement of
features including lines, circles, areas and angles. Camera options enable brightness
and contrast adjustments to be made for image enhancement. The intuitive ViFox allows
the user to easily set key parameters while viewing the live image, allowing fast,
precise imaging of samples and components to be captured, documented and archived.
ViAxos provides 2-D measurement options such as feature to feature.
