Vision Engineering Ltd. has unveiled two software options, ViFox and ViAxos, for its Mantis Elite-Cam stereomicroscope with instant digital image capture. The Mantis Elite-Cam comprises a factory-integrated and sealed USB 2.0 digital camera, permitting simultaneous optical and digital viewing. Both software options enable images to be stored as jpg, bmp or png files and provide 2-D measurement of features including lines, circles, areas and angles. Camera options allow brightness and contrast adjustments to be made for image enhancement. ViFox allows the user to easily set key parameters while viewing the live image, providing fast, precise imaging of samples and components. It is suitable for image capture, file sharing and onscreen measurement. ViAxos provides advanced 2-D measurement options such as feature-to-feature measurement and digital zoom.
