NEWARK, Del., Jan 11, 2011 — B&W Tek Inc has announced the Sol 2.6 fiber-coupled near-infrared InGaAs spectrometer.

The linear InGaAs array spectrometer features 256 pixels and provides high throughput and a high dynamic range with thermoelectric cooling down to -15 °C and a standard spectral range from 1550 to 2550 nm. The spectrometer features a built-in AutoZero function that results in low noise.

It is designed with four levels of gain, producing good results for most applications in low-light-level near-infrared detection. It also is equipped with a built-in three-stage cooler, with no external control box, allowing for easy integration and providing 5-VDC power.

Because it has a low percentage of dead pixels, it is suitable for process monitoring, quality control and biological applications.
