KRAILLING, Germany, July 9, 2013 — InnoLas Systems GmbH’s solar cell automatic handling system can load or unload one wafer per second, or 3600 per hour.

Designed for the company’s ILS TT laser machines, the system features a frame construction with high structural rigidity, high-torque motors and drives, and precision bearings. Its proprietary motion control software ensures fast and precise transport of the wafers with smooth acceleration and deceleration. A single-belt design and multiple-carrier buffer reduce its footprint.

The unit is suitable for loading and unloading of the laser station for processes such as selective emitter, metal wrap-through, contact opening (PERC, or passivated emitter and rear-cell structure) and laser-fired contacts.
