SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 10, 2014 — The Solstice Ace from Spectra-Physics is an ultrafast laser amplifier for bioimaging and micromachining.

The Solstice Ace features an output of > 6 mJ pulse energy at a repetition rate of 1 kHz, > 7 W output power at 5 kHz and > 6 W at 10 kHz, with pulse width configurations of < 35 and < 120 fs.

The amplifier provides beam quality and stability for driving optical parameter amplifier systems with M2 < 1.25.
