The MXPZT-300 series of fast solution switchers from Siskiyou Corp. is available in both left-hand and right-hand configurations to simplify incorporation into any electrophysiology microscope setup.
The use of a piezo actuate flexure provides up to 250 µm of repeatable linear (no tip or tilt) motion with a minimum step size of only 0.3 nm, delivering full range of travel in <6 ms. This makes the MXPZT-300 ideal for even the most speed-sensitive patch clamps experiments.
For maximum ease of use and fast alignment, the MXPZT-300 also includes four axes of manual linear motion with a travel range of 20 mm and a resolution of 5 µm for each axis. The fourth axis can be set at any angle as needed and is equipped with a MXC-45 electrode clamp, allowing an electrode or pipette to be swung out of the experiment at any time and then returned back to a user-set mechanical stop in the experiment with µm repeatability.
