BEDFORD, N.H., July 13, 2020 — The PLUTO-2 Spatial Light Modulator from HOLOEYE Photonics AG and announced by Laser Components SA is designed for high-resolution holographic applications for the UV, VIS, NIR, and telecommunications wavebands.

Using reflective liquid-crystal microdisplays, the 1920 × 1080-pixel resolution and 8.0-μm pixel pitch modulator is available in 11 different versions optimized for different wavelength ranges and applications. Using HDMI ports on standard PC graphics cards, the PLUTO-2 is a plug-and-play device that requires no additional software or dedicated hardware.

Its software package configures and generates different optical functions, while a software development kit works with standard laboratory software and programming environments.
