Spatial Light ModulatorThe LUNA Spatial Light Modulator (SLM) series from HOLOEYE Photonics AG is based on an 0.39-in. liquid crystal-on-silicon (LCOS) microdisplay with a resolution of 1920 ×1080 pixels and a 4.5-µm pixel pitch.

The SLM provides linear 8-bit phase levels and is addressed via DisplayPort at a 60-Hz input frame rate. The driver also features a USB connector for power and advanced configurations. A VIS version with 2π phase shift at 420 to 650 nm and a version for the telecommunication waveband around 1550 nm are available. The ASIC driver is embedded in the LCOS microdisplay itself, saving board space and enabling a compact driver, enabling implementation into small-sized and portable solutions.

The display can even accept video data input via a four-lane MIPI Display Serial Interface for increased industrial implementations.
