FREDERICK, Colo., Feb. 29, 2016 —
Meadowlark Optics Inc. has announced two analog spatial light modulators to control incident light in amplitude or phase on a pixel-by-pixel basis for computer-generated holography.
The 1920 × 1152-resolution model phase modulator provides a stable response, high fill factor and high optical power handling. The HD multimedia interface (HDMI) controller has a compact form factor for 12 bits of phase control at each pixel.
The 512 × 512-resolution model was designed with larger pixels and additional optical shielding, making it ideal for high-powered laser applications. The high voltage, refresh rate and proprietary liquid crystal creates leading response times and phase stability. The 16-bit digital video interface (DVI) controller provides easy integration for research applications.
