The DKv002 Advanced Development Kit from Chromation Inc. uses a surface-mountable UV/VIS/NIR sensor with an input angle of 45° for the single-chip SMT spectrometer.
The compact device captures a range of 275 to 1000 nm in a single measurement, and can be used for point-and-shoot applications with no external optics required.. A user-friendly interface with Python API communicates over USB with example Python scripts showcasing API capability and C libraries for integration into existing customer embedded systems. The device is open-source including the Python API, firmware, hardware design files, and spectrometer chip 3D model for printed circuit board layout and mechanical design. The kit also contains multiple light sources and optical alignment fixtures.
Applications include measurement, monitoring, agriculture, lighting and color, displays, and authentication.
