NanoDrop.jpgThe ND-8000 spectrophotometer from NanoDrop Technologies Inc. can measure eight samples as small as 1 μl simultaneously. Based on the ND-1000, the device can process a measurement cycle in less than 30 s, including sample preparation, loading, spectral reading and wiping of optical surfaces. An eight-channel pipettor loads samples directly onto the fiber optic measurement surface. Once the upper surface contacts the sample, a liquid bridge forms, and samples are assessed at two path lengths to achieve a wide dynamic range. By conserving samples, the instrument enables quality-control checks at critical points in complex work flows.
