IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 30, 2014 — Compact, low-profile linear stages from Newport Corp. offer 300 mm of travel and can bear up to 1000 N of load, with axial load capacity of 200 N.

MTN Series stages are available with DC or stepper motors and include all-steel construction for stiffness, high load capacity and thermal stability. The design incorporates anti-backlash and anti-creep features to minimize undesired stage movement.

The stages are suited for applications that require moving heavy loads with submicron precision. Vacuum-compatible versions down to 10-6 hPa are also available.
