Streak CameraThe semiconductor-based S3C-1 streak camera from Optronis GmbH provides researchers with an instrument that enables detailed scientific investigations in ultrafast processes.

Streak cameras allow measurements of optical phenomena in the picosecond to femtosecond range. Measurements are possible where no suitable trigger signal was previously available. A time window of 100 ns to 10 ms can be selected for acquisition, with a time resolution close to 1 ns. With its robustness, dimensions of 12 × 12 cm, and weight of <2 kg, the camera can also be used in areas that are denied to tube-based cameras. Applications include plasma research, detonics, or microfluidics.
