WOTTON-UNDER-EDGE, England, March 17, 2014 — Renishaw plc’s StreamLineHR Rapide is an ultrafast mapping option for its inVia Raman microscopes.

Enabled through combined changes to the company’s WiRE software and inVia hardware and firmware, large amounts of Raman data and high-definition chemical images can be collected. Tight integration between the detector and motorized sample stage enables a detector spectrum readout rate >1000 s–1.

With enhanced signal-to-noise ratios, accurate measurements are achieved even where extremely low signal levels are present. There is no inherent file size limit, so users can record tens of millions of spectra in a single file.
