Qioptiq.jpgQioptiq Imaging Solutions has released two motorized OptiGrid models that enable structured-illumination microscopy with Zeiss Axio Observer and Axio Imager microscopes. The technique can achieve resolutions comparable to those of confocal microscopy without the cost and complexity of lasers. The grids have slider designs with programmable autofocus for improved repeatability. They do not require removal when changing objectives, and one grid frequency covers the entire magnification range of objectives. Users simply can connect the grid amplifier box to their computer, activate their camera and insert the slider into the removable filled diaphragm slot of their fluorescence illuminator.
