A compact RGB superluminescent LED (SLED) module from EXALOS AG enables the advancement of micro-display architectures for augmented reality and head-up displays.

The RGB module constitutes three SLED chips housed in a 14-pin butterfly package with a footprint of 20.8 × 1.7 mm, a total output power of about 30 mW, and a total luminous flux of 5 lm. The individual chips are each soldered on submounts and mounted on a ceramic base plate with temperature stabilization via a high-performance thermo-electric cooler. The module is offered as a developer kit with dedicated driver electronics or as a standalone module.
