Superpolished Mirror Substrates

Edmund Optics Inc.Request Info

Edmund Optics has introduced superpolished mirror substrates ready to be coated for use in a wide variety of demanding laser applications.

They are available in 1- and 2-Å surface roughness options, and in fused silica and zerodur. They feature low scatter — a requirement for any application that uses ultrafast lasers — and surface accuracy of λ/10.

When they are manufactured, the superpolishing is applied to the first surface of the substrate, and a commercial polishing is applied to the second surface. The precision substrates are then ready to be coated to provide innovative solutions in ultrafast lasers and a diverse range of laser applications.

They are available in 12.5- and 25-mm-diameter sizes.
