The ELYRA microscope systems from Carl Zeiss MicroImaging GmbH, which can be acquired on a turnkey or modular basis, enable the PAL-M and SR-SIM superresolution microscopy techniques to be comprehensively used and individually combined. Biomedical researchers now can image cellular structures marked with fluorescent dyes with maximum spatial resolution below the classic diffraction limit, or <200 nm. This level of superresolution, especially in combination with the 780 laser scanning microscope, offers possibilities for spatial relationship analysis down to the molecular level.
