The SPL S1L90H_3 surface-mount edge-emitting laser diode from ams OSRAM is a space-saving device featuring a narrow 110-µm aperture.

Easing optical integration in long-distance lidar applications and long-distance industrial ranging applications, the single-channel device’s 905-nm IR technology is optimized for short-pulsed use in drones, robots, and building and factory automation equipment. It features multijunction technology and consists of three vertically stacked emitters in a single laser die mounted inside a 2.3 × 2.0 × 0.69-mm package. This technology enables the laser to produce peak output power of 65 W.
