The GelSight Max mobile metrology device from GelSight Inc. allows users to capture high-resolution 2D images and 3D digital surface maps in milliseconds.
Surface maps enable analysis functions such as sub-µm profile and surface roughness, as well as measurement of surface features such as scratches and pitting, regardless of the material being measured. The device is optimized to precisely measure features of <50 µm and roughness average values of <2 µm. Enhanced 2D and 3D imaging and measurement analysis provide traceable accuracy to 0.3 µm for use in mobile inspection processes in aerospace, automotive, energy, forensics, additive manufacturing, films and coatings, and more.
