The ZEISS ABIS III from ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions is a fully automated surface inspection system designed for smart factories.

The sensor is capable of high-speed inspection and reliable detection of various defects in sheet-metal pressings and bodies. It can identify defects such as dents, bulges, sink marks, ripples, cracks, scratches, and welding or glue residues with precision. The system combines projector, cameras, lighting technology, and software to achieve maximum inspection speed, robustness, reliability, and usability. With the ability to inspect both moving and stationary parts, it provides objective evaluation and classification of defects within cycle time. It is equipped with the Multi-Color-Light Module, which can detect small defects at a high detection rate.
