Philips Burton offers the Apex line of surgical lighting for reliable operation and ease of use. The products have a 4200 K color temperature and a color rendering index of 95, creating the high-intensity, pure-white lighting (with no blue hues) necessary to provide optimal visibility in health care environments. Suitable for use in operating and emergency rooms and in trauma centers, the sources feature a durable arm system that produces drift-free operation, offering unlimited arm rotation. Products include an autoclavable center handle for smooth focus and a sterilizable handle that locks into position with one hand, adjusting easily and helping to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria. The sources provide high-intensity illumination of 120,000 lx per 11,148 fc at 1 m and have a 61-cm-diameter light head.
