SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 2, 2015 — Surveillance SensorOmniVision Technologies Inc. has announced the OV10823 CameraChip sensor for security and surveillance applications.

The 1/2.6-in. sensor uses 1.4-μm OmniBSI-2 pixel architecture to deliver low-light performance and ultrahigh-definition 4K output. The features can enable advanced surveillance functions such as automatic tracking and detection, high-quality digital zoom, and video analytics.

The OV10823 is a native 16:9 sensor that supports 4K video at 30 fps with electronic image stabilization or binned 1080p HD video at 60 fps.
