MILFORD, Mass., April 23, 2013 — Process Sensors Corp.’s enhanced Surveyor online thermal imaging camera series provides 125-Hz speed with a 384 × 288-pixel focal-plane-array detector. The cameras measure 45 × 45 × 62 mm and weigh 250 g (including lens and 1-m USB cable).
Ethernet-ready connectivity provides long-distance transmission and the use of I/O modules with multiple relays, voltage or current outputs for process control applications. User-selectable shapes can be assigned to specific areas that can be overlaid on top of the displayed image. The waterproof cameras can be equipped with exchangeable optics of 6°, 31°, 48° or 72° with adjustable focus capabilities.
The temperature range is from −20 to 900 °C, and the devices can produce single-shot or sequences of thermal images (e.g., movie files) that can be stored into a network file location and accessed by other computers on the network in real time.
The cameras are suited for automation and automotive R&D applications for thermal stress analysis, for detecting thermal anomalies of PCBs in test stations, for finding hot spots on automotive brakes/clutches during testing, and for reverse-bias testing of solar cells for identifying broken interconnects.
PSC-Camera-connect software offers 11 color palettes and a variety of ready-to-use measurement and display template layouts. The user can download updates of the software via the company’s website.
