TAS Spectroscopy
MKS/NewportRequest Info
The TAS (Transient Absorption Spectrometer) by Newport Corp. is suitable for studying the dynamics of a variety of samples. In conjunction with amplified femtosecond lasers, it can be used for pump-probe, time-resolved spectroscopy.
The laser input to the TAS is split into two parallel beams: the fundamental pump for exciting the sample, and the broadband supercontinuum for probing the sample as a function of time over many wavelengths. It offers a broad delay range with standard or enhanced time resolution, and includes a fiber-coupled multichannel detector and Oriel MS127i imaging spectrograph.
The standard configuration covers the UV-VIS spectral range, but the device can be extended further into the UV and IR regions.
